OTD, OTR/L

I have been providing clients and families with pediatric occupational therapy services for almost 20 years. I am passionate about sensory integration, feeding, and parent education, and I understand the importance of looking at the whole child within the context of the family, home, and school environment.

I earned my master’s degree in occupational therapy from San Jose State University, CA, and my clinical doctorate from Thomas Jefferson University, PA.

Part of my clinical doctorate work included developing an online feeding program for parents of children with autism spectrum disorder to help with feeding in the home setting.

I specialize in providing feeding support for children who have picky feeding issues, challenging mealtime behaviors, delayed oral motor skills, and difficulty progressing to solid foods. My approach is child and family-centered.

My experience in sensory integration and yoga therapy also guides my approach to feeding therapy, with an understanding that a calm and regulated child experiences better success at mealtime.

I completed the advanced training in sensory integration (SIPT certified). I am also trained in the SOS Approach to Feeding, Beckman Oral Motor Protocol, Functional Assessment of Tethered Oral Tissue (TOTs), Get Permission Approach to Feeding, and Sensory-Motor Approach to Feeding. I am currently co-authoring a parent education feeding book.

A Southern California native, I currently live in Redondo Beach with my husband, two teenage daughters, and wild rescue dog.

When I am not providing therapy, I love to do yoga, cook, read, and spend time with family and friends.
